What is TheWineLife?

TheWineLife is a wealth of wine and entertaining inspiration. We give you direct access to the very best of NZ wine, be it through our monthly subscription packages, or through our online wine shop. Each of our subscription packages come complete with 6 very special NZ wines and your WineLife pack, featuring taste guides and a delicious, seasonal recipe to match each wine. Plus we celebrate living TheWineLife with our online wine and lifestyle blog, and provide you with everything you need to know about our beautiful NZ wineries through our Wineries Directory. TheWineLife is all about taking moments to enjoy amazing wine, food and company – and making it simple, easy, fun!

Deliveries

Where do you deliver to?

We currently deliver across the North Island of New Zealand. There are a few North Island suburbs we may not deliver to, for example we are currently unable to deliver to rural postcodes. Simply complete our short order form online to find out if we can deliver right to your door.

When will my deliveries arrive?

Your first TheWineLife subscription package will arrive with you within 5 working days of you placing your order. From then, your TheWineLife package will be delivered around the same time each month, with your payment being processed on the same day of the month you originally signed up, and your box arriving within 5 working days of that payment date. So you have approximately a month to enjoy 6 celebrations of wine and food, with friends, family, date nights, dinner parties… or simply just ‘because’, before your next exciting delivery arrives!

Can you deliver to my work?

Absolutely. If you live outside of our delivery areas, or want to ensure you are present when your order is delivered, getting your TheWineLife subscription package delivered to your work is a great option.

What happens if I’m not at home when my delivery arrives?

Our couriers will leave your package if you have given special instructions (add these in the field provided when confirming your delivery address). It is important to note that in giving these instructions, you are giving our courier permission to leave the wine without a signature. The wine becomes entirely your responsibility in the case of loss/theft once placed in your requested location.

You don’t deliver to my suburb or city, what can I do?

The great news is that we will always be expanding our delivery zones, so get in touch with us for more information, or to register your interest for a particular area, so that we can let you know as soon as we do start delivering there.

What happens if I want to change my address?

That is not a problem at all. You can simply change your delivery address by logging into your TheWineLife account here and changing the details for your delivery. You just have to make sure that any changes are made by midnight on the day before your monthly payment date. Lost track of your payment date? Your TheWineLife account will keep you informed.

How are TheWineLife deliveries packaged?

Our wines, taste guides and recipe cards are carefully packaged in a bespoke TheWineLife six-pack case. Our cases are designed to ensure your wine is delivered to you in perfect condition with plenty of cushioning and thick dividers between the bottles. The case has strong strapping handles, making it really easy to carry.

What happens if I receive a delivery and one of the bottles of wine is broken?

In the extremely unlikely event that you receive a broken bottle, please contact us at orders@thewinelife.co.nz or 0800 WINELIFE and we will promptly arrange a replacement.

Product Information

I love living TheWineLife! Can I purchase a whole year’s subscription at once?

It would be our absolute pleasure to provide you with a whole year of living TheWineLife. Simply contact us at orders@thewinelife.co.nz and we will take care of everything for you. These yearly subscriptions can also be easily gifted to a very lucky family member, friend, partner, colleague or client. Please note, that our yearly subscriptions are non-refundable and cannot be paused or cancelled as with our monthly subscriptions, however address details and delivery instructions can absolutely still be changed throughout the year.

I can’t see a TheWineLife package that suits my needs, can I still get a delivery?

We are unable to change our package options, but do get in touch with the wonderful TheWineLife team – they will be more than happy to help you figure out which package would suit your requirements best. Plus if you do want to create a selection of wines that is completely personal, you can do this on our online shop.

Can I choose which wines I receive in my delivery?

TheWineLife is proud to take the hassle and guesswork out of choosing wine, and everything that goes with living TheWineLife. The wines in our subscription boxes are carefully chosen to introduce you to new and exciting wines and producers. If you find a wine you really love, our online shop is there for you to purchase it again and again! Our shop is also the perfect place for you to select your own mixed cases of wine, or a wine gift to surprise and delight, from our very special range. Do you have organic wines?

Yes we do. We haven’t set out to source solely organic or biodynamic wines but we have some stunning ones in our line ups, and we can’t wait for you to try them!

Will I always receive new wines?

Yes! If you stick to the same subscription package, we are proud to ensure that you will never receive the same bottle of wine twice. Of course, through our subscription packages, we are pretty confident you will find many wines that you LOVE so much you NEED to try them again and again. Luckily, you can simply visit our online shop to stock up.

Please note that for our TheWineLife Bon Vivant package, the content may, on rare occasions, vary from customer to customer. As we are sure you can appreciate, these wines are very special, often limited addition productions, so they are subject to availability. But have no fear, we will absolutely ensure that each and every Bon Vivant box we deliver is full of the most wonderful treasures for you to discover.

Orders & Account Details

How do I place an order?

It is really simple! Simply select your preferred TheWineLife subscription package here and follow the instructions to place an order. It is easy to follow and will only take a few minutes.

What if I need to update my card details?

No worries! Simply login to your TheWineLife account where you can easily change any of your details.

What happens if I’m going away or on holiday and don’t want a delivery?

If you’re heading away, you are easily able to pause or cancel your deliveries, which you can do by logging into your TheWineLife account. You just have to remember that you need to pause any delivery by midnight on the day before your monthly payment date. After this time, your monthly order is locked in.

Can I cancel my order at any time?

Yes, absolutely! We don’t do contracts, penalties or minimum orders. Just remember that our cut-off date for cancelling your upcoming WineLife delivery is midnight on the day before your monthly payment date. To order, pause or cancel your TheWineLife subscription, just login to your account online and follow the instructions.

I’ve lost track of when my next TheWineLife delivery is due. How will I know when to expect it?

You can login to your TheWineLife account at any time to remind yourself of your monthly payment date (your delivery timeframe is within 5 working days of payment). We will notify you via email when your monthly payment has been processed. Plus, at the start of each month, we will send you a little ‘teaser’ of what you can expect in your upcoming delivery, so you have plenty of notice for making any changes, and for getting excited of course!

I just want to try you out and don’t want to commit just yet, can I get a one-off delivery?

Whilst our service is subscription-based, we do offer the ability to pause your deliveries at any time. This means that it is really simple for you to make your first delivery a one-off, and if you would like to continue with us this can be done just as easily. This is a great way to experience living TheWineLife and see if it’s right for you.

What if I want to change to a different subscription package?

You can change your subscription package at any time by logging into your TheWineLife account. Just make sure you do this by midnight on the day before your monthly payment date to ensure your subscription change is locked in.

How do you take payment for TheWineLife subscription packages?

Payment is made securely online by credit or debit card using Braintree (powered by PayPal). Credit or debit card is currently the only method of payment. Your first TheWineLife payment will be taken at the time of order. From then, payment for your regular TheWineLife delivery is made on the same date as your original sign up each month (so, for example, if you originally signed up to a subscription package and made your first payment on the 15th September, recurring payments will be taken on the 15th of each month until the subscription is paused or cancelled). We will notify you via email when your monthly payment has been processed. If your regular payment has not gone through, one of our team will contact you to see if you wish to arrange a manual payment over the phone.

Please note, if you originally signed up on the 31st of a month, for months with only 30 days, your payment will defer to the 30th. For the month of February, if payment usually falls on the 29th, 30th or 31st, it will defer to the 28th.

Can I gift someone TheWineLife?

Yes definitely, and what a wonderful, unique gift to receive! You can purchase a gift voucher for either a one-off delivery of the subscription package of your choice, or you can gift a whole year’s worth of TheWineLife for the lucky recipient. Just click here to purchase a voucher. The voucher is delivered by email. You can either choose to email the voucher directly to the recipient, or to yourself so you can gift the voucher in your own way.

Remember, our online shop also offers a range of gifts to suprise and delight your friends and loved ones.

How do I use my gift voucher?

Your gift voucher features a unique code which can be entered during the order process to redeem your gift product.

Please note, this unique code is for single use only, so the value of the voucher cannot be split over multiple orders. We do not offer our free recipe folder with one month subscription package orders made using a gift voucher, however should you wish to continue your subscription after you have made use of your voucher, we will absolutely send a folder out to you as part of your first paid subscription package delivery.

Do you have a Christmas package?

Yes we certainly do, however we only have a limited number of these packages. We’ll be sure to let you know when they are due to be released – make sure you get in quick.
